WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit Now Supports Lollipop 5.0.1 LRX22C

WugFresh is really on top of his game. A few days ago he released version 1.9.9 of the Nexus Root Toolkit which added support for the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. This version includes one click root and recovery install as well as bootloader unlock and factory reset for Android 5.0 Lollipop. Today WugFresh announced that his toolkit also supports the very latest build of Android 5.0.1 LRX22C. That was quick! Rather than going to Google's website and finding the build for your device and then flashing it manually you can simply launch the toolkit and one click flash the update to your device. Haven't used his tool for a while .... can you flash latest version without having to reset and lose data etc ?

I don't believe so, and I think there's also the change from Dalvik part that's not interchangeable, but Jim probably has a better answer
I use it as a way to clean away the garbage I haven't used, saving the important stuff in the cloud to download/transfer back again.

I did a clean install of 5.0 ... so hopefully I shouldn't need to wipe everything to go to 5.0.1

That may be true, and I didn't reroot, so I may get the OTA.

If your bootloader is unlocked, there us an option to not wipe. I wouldn't recommend it if you are going to 5.0 but to go from 5.0 to 5.0.1 it should be fine.
