Google announces Google Assistant coming to older phones and tablets

Yesterday, Maksim Mukha, Program Manager for Google Assistant announced that Google Assistant will soon be coming to Android tablets running Android 7.0 Nougat and 6.0 Marshmallow, and to phones running 5.0 Lollipop. This certainly will breathe some new life into older Nexus devices! Apparently, the update will initially only be available to devices with the language set to English in the USA.
