Hi,
I have been a GNU/Linux user for many years. Naturally when I wanted a tablet, I chose the Nexus 7 (2012) with Android.
The reason I have joined is that I have found the reason why everything ran very slowly, when I turned on the Wifi. So, I am about to post the solution.

Welcome, not many original Nexus out there still operating. My 7 is designated as a digital picture frame for now.
