Does it use a USB cable plugged into an AC wall wart, or is the cable permanently attached to the wall wart?
What would that be called, I would like to do a search? 12v tablet charger? Any recommendations? I assume if there is such a creature it would work with a vehicle in Europe(France or Great Britain) also.

Some of these sound interesting. Is there such a thing as a Nexus 10 phone? Some reviewers mention this in their review, did not seem relevant to me.

The Nexus 10 charger cable has a full size usb on the end and comes with an adapter to use for 110v.
This one may work-
Kensington K39242US USB Car Charger: Accessories : Walmart.com
One thing I have read about the cigarette lighter chargers is that they advertise as 5v 2 amp but they have 2 receptacles so each receptacle is 1 amp and that may not be enough for charging.
According to Kensington, that's only a 1A output.
This would be a better choice :

Both 2A and 1A ports - $9.99 + s&h (unless you have Amazon Prime)

I searched for specs for the Kensington, thanks for finding it. Always one more spec to look for.
BTW, 10 is awesome, not spending much time w/it tho.
Note: I ended up getting a Bravo View 2.1 amp usb charger from ebay, for $6. Looks like it should do the job.
