Will I not loose all photos stored in gallery if I clear gallery data ? ( Note that I can still view them if I run galllery directly)

To backup photos, videos etc., get Copy https://copy.com?r=OE0jru It's a cloud app, you get free space, go to settings on the Copy app once installed and check the box next to "Enable photo copy" this will automatically save all photos to the cloud, give the App time to upload to the cloud. At this point you can clear the cache and data without worry.
The app will now save any photo or video you take to the cloud whenever you're attached to a Wifi network.

No, you will not lose photos stored on your device if you clear the gallery app's data. The photos you see in the gallery app are just really just cache and not the actual photos, which are stored elsewhere. The photo cache will rebuilt itself in the gallery app after clearing data. No worries.
