    Nexus 4 battery life

Hey guys! Thinking of ordering N4 here and one of my major concerns is battery life. Some reviewers are saying it's good, while others are trashing it. What gives? Cheers.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. My battery life is awesome..............but I'm rooted, running a custom rom and custom kernel. I believe I've read the battery life got better after the 4.2.2 update on a stock N4.

Thanks ggrant ,but i don't feel comfortable with rooting/modding things. I would rather leave it as is. Not really heavy user here, so, what am i looking at in terms of up-time?

With the 4.2.2 kernel I got about 21 hours or so with 3 1/2 hours of screen on time. And that is having full sync on, G+ messenger (a new message every few minutes), and moderate gaming (Ruzzle)

If you're in a pinch and not around a charger, the 4.2.2 kernel seems to do very well in deep sleep battery saving. That is, if you need an alarm in the morning, leaving it off the charger would only drain 3-4%

    Re: Nexus 4 battery life

I can't talk too much about the battery quality, because I'm still waiting! Anyway, my experience tell me that battery live is the weakest point of LG handsets!
I already read about this theme, and there's no conclusion!

    Re: Nexus 4 battery life

Been using the phone for a couple days now. I can't speak to stock battery life as it took me all of two hours to decide to flash francos kernel. But with this kernel it's awesome. I'm at 11 hours with almost 3 hours screen time with 45% left.

    Give Trinity a shot too

I was using franco's for a while, but left it when release builds started using only 2 cores ... also, I find it impossible to navigate that thread on XDA. Come back to check it a few days later and it's moved 25 pages. I don't have time to go through all that crap to figure out exactly what has been changed.

    I haven't seen any Nexus 5 leaks/rumors ...

The only rumor I have heard is the Moto X project
