Question My N4 phone is not detected in Camera mode as well as in MTP mode on PC via USB cable

My N4 phone is not detected in Camera mode as well as in MTP mode on PC via USB cable
Till about one month Back i was using USB cable to transfer data between PC and Nexus 4. Just today my PC does not seem to connect to the device as it is not able to detect the device. When I connect my N4 to PC via USB cable, charging is ON, but my computer does not show the device as a external device as it used to do earlier.
Did a little research on Net, tried
    1. Device Manager option by uninstalling, rebooting both N4 and PC.
    2. Tried USB debugging method along with storage option.
    3. Tried with different USB cable on different computer

However my problem is not resolved yet. even after doing all what was suggested in various post, my devise is just not been shown on PC as an external storage devise.
Spend the entire day working on this but in vain.
    Somebody HELP
Note: I am using Windows 7 as operating system.

USB debugging on or off? Try with it on, then off, then on again (reboot after changing)
If that doesn't work, Try this:

    Plug your phone in.
Find it in the device manager (look for the yellow triangle)
Right click, and choose "Update Driver Software ..."
Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Scroll down and pick "portable devices", click Next
Choose Standard MTP Device > MTP USB Device

When it warns you, click yes anyway.

Debugging is on, Have tried all the points you have mentioned. However PC still does not detect the phone.
Even tried Device manager, ironically NO yellow box is seen, which would mean that my phone is altogether not detected by PC. However chargeing still continues.

Try it on a different PC, again, switching debugging on and off.
Then, with a different, known good cable, both ways on both PCs.
After that, a factory reset should eliminate the device's software - it could then be a hardware issue.

Thanks. I have tried with debugging options on two another PC with two different cables. However it did not worked.
Regarding factory reset, am afraid of loosing all my installed App and related gaming high scores.

The drivers on your PC could have accidently been deleted or corrupted. My G3 had been connecting flawlessly and then one day nada. Reinstalled the usb drivers and all is well again.
