    Failure Syncing Gmail Account

    Hi guys. I have one problem with my phone. It doesn't sync my gmail account automatically. Otherwise, it's the best phone I have ever had. Can u help me with this problem? Thanks

    What isn't syncing? Email, contacts, calendar? All of it? If you don't mind giving a bit more detail we may be able to help sort it out.

    It doesn't sync email. Contacts and calendar is synced. If u need more details, tell me what u need to know. I'm not a tech guy.

    No worries! It will help if we know which email app you use, is it the gmail app? And Danvee asks an important question, is this new behavior or always like this?

    Gmail account. And about the behavior, since i got the phone. About 2 weeks. I erased the account and installed it again and I even did a factory reset. Since the factory reset and reinstalling the apps it started to sync the emails now and then. My other phone (Blackberry Z10) doesn't have this problem. That's how I discovered the problem and the fact that it sync s randomly.

    So it does sync email just not all the time? By sync do you mean just receiving emails or do you mean that emails you have deleted on one device are not deleted on your phone.

    It is syncing some times so not sure this will help but.. Go to settings/Accounts tap your Google account, tap it again and make sure app data is checked.
    Go to settings/data usage and tap the 3 dots, ensure auto sync data is checked.
    If this doesn't help or if they are doth checked we will have to look at the settings for the app I think.
