I didn't reflash GApps either because that seemed like the way to go based off what I read. I was a long time SuperSU user but switched to Magisk when Pokemon Go blocked rooted devices. Magisk was the easiest way to have root and still play. I like how you can hide root from specific apps. So far I've just hid from Pokemon Go and Amazon Prime Photos (because it kept warning me about being rooted). Based on the latest news I've hid Netflix too. My bank isn't with Android Pay so that isn't an issue for me. Long story short... I use Magisk because I play a silly game. 😀

Thanks VG! I'll stick w/ SuperSU for now, but will be reading more. I'm somewhat relieved that you didn't flash GApps either, I was just sitting here pondering if I should re-flash or not. Either way, sure am glad I put Pure Nexus on my Nexus 6. I've learned a lot, and it runs really well!
If you clean flash in the future, and have an Android Wear connected watch - this tip will save you tons of swiping/aggravation.

Edit:
Just updated with a dirty flash with no problemo.

After reading a bit more, just flashed the ROM and root... apparently Beans says there is a problem with the GApps on the Nexus 6 and he's looking into it, and to use the May GApps instead.
