    Notification Bar... strange one!

Ok, here's something new.. at least to me.

Nexus 6, full stock, not rooted, 6.01 with Feb security update.

I'm a big fan of the being able to swipe down twice for fast access to wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode etc. The one I use most is the Don Not Disturb feature. I use it to set to no notifications until the "next alarm" at night.
Now, The other 2 choices which are basically, until you turn it off and manually setting for a specific amount of of time, have always been there. For some reason, Next Alarm vanished for a while and came back twice. Thinking this on Googles end and I have seen a few write ups about it.
Last night I went to swipe down and select Next alarm, then I realized I didn't have an alarm set for the next morning. I could not turn the feature off!!! If I long press, short press.. nothing!!
I set to alarms a few minutes out, both went off, both time the icon remains on the info bar at the top. Turned on and off the main alarm, nothing. Went in to the setting and meddled with the notifications, no change.

Now, the phone has the icon at the top showing it will not disturb until next alarm, but it will make all the sounds for incoming e-mail, rings when called etc.

With the feature selected, if you press volume up or down, it brings up a screen with the option to "End Now" No go, The Bell icon is grayed out, Music and Alarm icons are bright and active.

Any thoughts? I really don't want to reset the phone unless it's a last resort.

Just an side comment, instead swipe down twice you can try swipe down once but using two fingers. Same result, single movement 😀

I think that you can change what's shown there, but I don't remember how, its something to do with the wrench icon next to the gear wheel at the top right

Yeah, that is a shortcut to the main settings page.

Not that, it's the wrench that lets you edit what is in the drop-down, but you have to enable it somewhere, sorry I can't remember the terms to look up

If I tap the do not disturb on mine, there is no sounds at all. Until I either tap it again or set a time for it to be off.

Don't you have the option "until next alarm"?

There might be but I don't use any alarms. I just use it to silence the phone when needed.
