Anybody got the file format or file save location of play magazines?

Im trying to add my personal pdf magazines to the "my magazines" widget any thoughts?
Only purchased play store magazines show. I rooted for better file explorer but still no results.

Unfortunately, it is not possible, rooted or not. Google has this locked and hidden, as many of us discovered
last year when the Xoom was launched. Your best option is to use the Kindle app for your PDFs if you want a library-type interface.

I haven't tried this, but it worked for me for my Alarms.

I found this link, lemme know if a similar concept works for you.

Basically this thread was for alarm sounds, but idk if it'll work with magazines, if you for instance make a magazines folder and put it in.

Here's what the poster (barkingburro) said:

Get ready to kick yourself. The folder should be named: alarms. (In this case magazine?!?)

I use the following file structure on internal storage:

    /media
    ---/image
    ---/music
    ---/podcast
    ---/sounds
    ------/alarms
    ------/notifications
    ------/ringtones

The keywords above are: image, alarms, notifications, ringtones. Not sure if music is one, too.

Noticed the free Transformer movie doesn't show up anywhere on my 7 using any file browser I've tried. I downloaded it to my 7 so it would play with WiFi off. Plays fine. Hidden well.

Unlike books/periodicals, I do believe that movie files may be visible if nothing has changed since Honeycomb. I would have to do some exploring, since I cannot remember exactly where the file is. This came up with the Xoom and HC when some of us were trying to figure out exactly how long a Google movie (pinned) stayed on the device once it had been viewed and the clock ran out.

How to transfer books to your tablet

This may not be the best way, but worked for me.

Make a folder called Books2 on your device from the pc side.
    Move your files across.

On the Nexus 7 fire up ES FIle Explorer.
Select the files in books2 and select cut.
Navigate to Books and select paste.

In FBReader the books will now show in your catalog.

It looks like google is hiding the Books folder from the PC or this would be very easy.

I'm rooted, don't know if that is necessary to see the Books folder.
