Now THAT is how you do business! Offer a good product at a reasonable price AND include free stuff that you can choose yourself!

Is it possible to fall in love with a company???

Definitely a sweet promo offer. Probably spend it on apps I don't need but at least it's like I am not paying for them.

That's a darn good deal...but it's negated w/ me having to pay $22 in taxes and mandatory 2 day $14 shipping lol. Grrrr...I want want want this tablet b/c I love 7" tabs and 4.1 looks appealing. I'll probably pull the trigger once they're released and dev work starts picking up. Maybe also to see what issues to expect after they have been in users hands for a bit.

Google can keep the $25 credit. Instead provide free shipping. Plus I don't get the tax applied to the tab. Google doesn't have a brick and mortar store in my state. So why collect the sales tax. Might be worth waiting for Amazon to sell the Nexus. Then I could buy it for $36 less. Amazon does not apply sales tax to shipments to Ohio and, as a Prime customer, I get free shipping. But the real killer is the lack of a microsd card slot. That's a total deal breaker for me. I find the lack of a card slot a huge issue on my iPad2. Even my crummy little Nook Simple Touch has a card slot. My phones have card slots. Would have probably added a buck three eighty to the cost of manufacturing the Nexus. Yeah, I know clouds. Well I have two 50 GB Box.net accounts and a decent sized Dropbox. Still easier to transfer files over the card. Just my thoughts. Sorry for the rant.

I totally agree with you about the sales tax and the shipping.

I'm not happy about the mandatory shipping charge, either. The $25 credit really is negated by tax & shipping ... but I'm not gonna turn it down.
