I used my a100 (7" also) always in landscape, but my n7 its always portrait, not sure why. Landscape for videos. My thrive (10") has never seen portrait. I couldn't tell you it even rotates that way.

I use it in portrait mode the most. The one thing I hate the most about the Nexus 7 is when switch viewing modes the volume button doesn't switch also, drives me nuts..lol

Landscape almost always. When entering text sometimes you get forced into portrait or the keys get in the way.

Usually portrait...for some reason, unless forced, I like portrait better for all my tabs--even my Thrive I liked to use in portrait. However, I know some games are better in landscape...

Mostly in landscape mode because I find it more comfortable and easier to navigate.

Gotta say that for most surfing and watching video files I'm in landscape. If I type replies on bulletin boards I'm also probably in landscape. Portrait when I'm reading ebooks or playing chess! Lol

The jury's still out, for my avatar, on that question!
If you go down to the woods today.
Take only pictures. Leave only footprints. Keep only memories

Something I have just discovered with my 'ancient' beastie!
One of my favourite apps is 'Skyview'. An astronomy app that uses GPS to show the position of the stars and planets in real time, just by pointing the back of the Nexus towards the sky.
I always use the app in landscape mode and have just found that if I hold it with the camera lens to the right. The GPS is spot on with position accuracy. But if I hold it with the camera on the left side. The GPS is way off! Why would this be?

    Hey Gf!

First off, what do you have location settings set to? GPS Only or high accuracy?? Have you tried another app that uses GPS to see if you get wonky readings wit it also? I recommend "GPS Test" by Chartcross Limited in the Play Store to see if your GPS is being accurate.
