    Wireless will not remain connected

Out of the blue, my wireless connection to the router has failed. I enter the password, it connects for a few seconds, then disconnects. I am left with the status message "secured with WPA/WPA2" I can connect via my phone as a wireless hotspot and I can connect to the router if security temporarily removed. I have other wireless gadgets that connect without any problems and I consider myself quite adept with wireless networks, so please no (turn it off and switch it on again" type suggestions. Tried it all!

Can you also please clarify "with latest update" with specific Android version number too?

If I were you, I'd change the channel on your router. Apparently, you are in a high-traffic area -- meaning lots of other people have their routers using the same channel. The least traveled router channels are 1, 6, or 11. Check your manual on how to access the router's settings. Then switch the channel on yours to 6. See if that doesn't help.

I had a similar problem and it was the wi fi antenna coming loose (well it was almost completely away from the connection when I took it apart)
