Is Android 5.1.1 on 2013 Nexus 7 (Mobile) Really "Up to Date"?

Is Android 5.1.1 really the latest system for the 2013 Nexus 7 (Mobile)?

I am running 5.1.1, Build LMY48P. I see on developers.google.com that there are several new factory images available (6.0.0 & 6.0.1), but when I check my Settings/About Tablet/System Updates I am told that “Your system is up to date.”

Last August I was notified on the tablet that a system update was available, but I was reluctant to install it since I had managed to somehow brick the thing with a previous system update and had to send the tablet to Asus in TX. Now I’d like to do the install but I am no longer given the option.

If 5.1.1 isn’t the latest & greatest, is there a way to locate, download & install the right one?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
