    Nexus 7 Suddenly Totally Dead!

I last used my ancient beast on Wednesday evening. Everything was fine. There was plenty of charge left in the battery. Last night I tried to power it up. Totally dead! On battery, charge lead and USB through my PC.

    Sorry. I meant Nexus 7

Try pressing and holding the power button for at least 30 seconds to a minute. Does it power up then?

Nope! Pressed it for a full minute! Nothing. It was working totally normally, the last time I used it!

Verify the charger / cable is giving a proper charge.

The battery can be dead, they can be changed, if still available, but that's probably too much expense given the device's age.

Can you plug it into the USB port of a PC that's running, and leave it for a few hours - then try a <Power + Volume Down> and see if you see any thing happen. How do you know the charger lead is operable?

Is it a 2012 or a 2013 Nexus 7? I have a 2013 Nexus 7 and it looked like it wouldn't charge either by cable, but then I read that I could use a wireless charging pad to charge it and it worked. Amazon has some decently pricednwireles charging pads.

I used it to charge some bluetooth headphones. Anyway! You can all relax. With continuous prodding and pressing. The flat battery symbol eventually showed and it charged normally Scared me for a moment or two though!

Once again. Thanks to all who offered help.
