Hi:
I'm ready to pre-order but have heard rumors that it may not support otg. That would be a deal breaker for me. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Tom

Rooted and using Stickmount it pulled my external SD card right up ready for use.![]()
Correct.
The apps for enabling it on unrooted devices don't currently work, but Stickmount on a rooted device still does..
Nexus Media Importer works fine on my bone stock 2nd gen.
Odd. I'm seeing mixed reports on this.
Did the app get updated since yesterday's release?
Hi:
I got my Nexus 7 FHD from Amazon today and can confirm that Nexus Media Importer works flawlessly. I've seen reports of folks grouching on XDA about write only on flash drives but that's because they failed to tick enable write in NMI advanced preferences.
On a unrelated topic, most video players don't work with 4.3 but V player works like a charm.

Hey folks, any update on this? I've been looking around and have been having trouble finding a definitive answer. OTG usb works with nexus media importer currently? Reading the app info I'm unclear if anything else is required on the 2nd Gen N7

The post above yours looks pretty definitive.
There are a few issues with certain drives and certain cables, but that's to be expected.
You just need to be certain that the cable is compatible.
Guess I didn't make myself clear; my apologies. Admittedly I have been having some trouble finding info on the subject. While some report it works great others report some difficulty. Read somewhere the nexus media player MAY be needed. The post is also a couple months old and believe there's been an update since then? So while I certainly respect and appreciate then rick's input (ie, the post above mine), I wanted to confirm this is still the case.
Danvee, you referred to compatibility; care to shed some light on that for me? What can/should I check for to ensure this?
